We meet on the second Monday of the month (unless this is a Bank holiday,
in which case we meet on the following Monday), throughout the year.
2.30 – 4.00 p.m.
Room 7, St Paul’s Church, Northgate.
Currently 15 members are registered – full house! We feel that this is the maximum number to ensure a lively debate, while still allowing everybody a chance to speak.
I try to vary our programme, so that novel readings and discussions are interspersed with quizzes, readings on a theme, some non-fiction, a summer lunch, and so on. Our choice of reading is guided very much by members’ suggestions, and while we are all up for a challenge we vary the tone from light to dark, and anything in between.
I must express my thanks to Roger Baker, who does a wonderful job of taking money and keeping the register for me, and to all members of the book circle for their lively and informed input to each meeting.
